Fayetteville- Katherine Jayne Harrison Bass, 80, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Woodland Nursing and Rehab Center in Fayetteville. She was born on October 9, 2026, in Pittson, PA a daughter of the late Merritt F Harrison, Sr. and Doris Ferguson.

A private celebration of life will be held later.

Katherine was secretary and office administrator at Fayetteville Technical Community College.

She is survived by her children, Victor “Coach Vic” England of Beaufort and Michelle Renee England of Fayetteville; sister, Gail Joyner of Wake Forest, brother-in-law, Bill Bowman of Fayetteville; and nephews, Leonard Thagard (Donna) and their sons, Nick and John, and Grady Bowman (Kate) and daughter Guthrie.

She was preceded in death by her significant other, Grady “Art” Young and brother, Merritt F Harrison, Jr. and sister, Merrilyn Bowman, and brother-in-law, Worth Joyner.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
