Kenneth Harry
Crew
April 25, 1940 – November 18, 2025
Kenneth Harry Crew, 85, was born on April 25, 1940 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to the late Thelma (later Roth) and Kenneth A. Crew.
In his younger years, Ken proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. After completing his service, he and his wife Marie embarked on their first business venture together, owning and operating the Bayview Restaurant in Sneads Ferry. They poured their hearts into the restaurant, creating a place where friends, neighbors, and families gathered-reflecting the same warmth and friendliness that defined Ken himself.
While still running the Bayview, Ken followed a calling to help others protect what mattered most. He founded Crew Insurance Agency, building it from the ground up with honesty, hard work, and a genuine desire to serve his community. What began as his personal mission grew into a family legacy-Crew Insurance Agency continues today, proudly run by the family he loved so deeply, carrying forward the values he instilled.
Ken married the love of his life, Lila Marie Crew, in 1962, and together they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Marie; his son, Ken J. Crew. and his wife Alicia; his daughter, Coral Waggoner and her husband David; his beloved grandchildren: Danika, Justin, Scott and Claudia; and his three handsome great grandsons. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Anyone who knew Ken knew his fun-loving spirit. He was the one who lit up the room, the first to spark a laugh, and the person who could turn an ordinary moment into a memory. He adored his family with his whole heart, and nothing brought him more joy than being together with them. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and the countless lives he brightened along the way.
His life will forever be remembered, cherished, and celebrated by the family and friends who loved him dearly.
