Kenneth Kay Lanier, 83, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Mr. Lanier was born to the late James Newton Lanier and Lula Maie Williams Lanier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Lanier and J.N. Lanier.

Kenneth retired after many years as a farmer, where he was known for his strong work ethic and lifelong dedication to agriculture.

He is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Brown and Wanda Riggs, both of Jacksonville, North Carolina. A memorial service to celebrate Kenneth’s life will be held by the family at a later date.

The family extends their sincere appreciation for the many expressions of kindness, prayers, and sympathy shown during this time of loss.
