Obituary

Khristina Saint Bridget Tiralongo was born on November 25, 1969 and died on October 12, 2023. She was born in San Bernardino, California and attended Milpitas Elementary School in Milpitas, California and High School at White Oak High School in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior from 1:00 - 2:00PM.

Khristina loved her family and kids, sitting outside, and buying popsicles for all her grandkids, when she had extra money, is what made her happy. She enjoyed going places and spending time with her friends, family and kids and was especially thrilled going out to lunch and going to the store with her kids, that included time spent with her friends and family, laughing and telling stories. Khristina could spend hours sitting on the front porch or back deck dreaming of how she would do things to help her children be successful and happy.

The relationship she had with her brother, Leroy, and her two sisters, Loretta and Frances, was not like any other. Khristina was a wonderful big sister that she called her brother "BOO-BOO" and her sister Loretta "SHUG" and Frances "PANNY". Khristina was always there for them and had their backs. When her brother and sisters would see her, her whole face would light up and time would just be lost. Most of all, she loved and adored her children, they were her world. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into her children's faces, the pure joy radiating from her would blind you. Khristina wanted nothing more for her children than to have a wonderful life, be successful and be happy.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Corte-Real; sisters, Loretta Harvey and Frances Rodriguez; mother, Teresa Corte-Real; father, Daniel Corte-Real. Tina is survived by her loving children, Daniel Tiralongo, Andrew Tiralongo, Leanis Tiralongo, Chyna Bonilla, and Amethyst Almaguer; 11 grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

"If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, we all would walk right up to Heaven and bring you back again. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say "Goodbye". You were gone before we all knew it, and only God knows why. Our hearts still ache with sadness, and secret tears still flow. What it meant to love you – no one will ever know. But now we all know you want us to mourn for you no more: to remember all the happy times life still has much in store. Since you'll never be forgotten, we all pledge to you today. A hollowed place within our family hearts is where you'll always stay.
