Lamar Frederick Reid, 70, of Jacksonville, NC, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at his home.

Born in Bradenton, FL on November 18, 1945, he was the son of the late Gorden and Marjorie Reid. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam.

Surviving are his wife, Viola Elizabeth Reid of the home; daughters, Gwendolyn Reid of Jacksonville, FL, Barbara Krause and husband Robert, Linda Klaybor, both of Jacksonville, NC; four sons, Jeff Reid of Jacksonville, FL, L.A. Williams and wife Kim of Zebulon, NC, Ricky Willliams of Jacksonville, NC, Joseph Williams of Jacksonville, FL; ten grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 pm Thursday at First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Marie Cone officiating.
