Larry Louis Denslow, 86, of Jacksonville, North Carolina passed away on August 10, 2025 at Novant Health in Wilmington, North Carolina. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 12 noon at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Larry was born on April 27, 1939 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Leighton Denslow and Henrietta Wunder Denslow. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Midori Yamazato Denslow and siblings, Mitchell Denslow, Dalee Presnell, Nina Smith, and David Denslow.

After high school, Larry enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served nearly 20 years as a combat engineer before his honorable retirement as a Staff Sergeant.

He is survived by his son, John Denslow (Ann-Charlott) of Castle Rock, Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews.
