Laura Elizabeth White IIg aka "La-La", "flower", went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday June 16, 2023 in Norwalk, OH. She was born on April 28, 1992 in Jacksonville, NC to Sergeant Curtis William White Sr and Melanie Hall White of Jacksonville, NC who loved her deeply and feel blessed she was their daughter.
Laura Elizabeth was the glue that held her families together. She loved family dinners.
She was always a joy to be around. As a kid she was known for her kindness. Her laugh was contagious and was said to have a light about her that couldn't be ignored. She will be greatly missed by many. She was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger.
She grew up in Jacksonville/Richlands NC. She loved Shirley Temple, I love Lucy, Veggie Tales and Disney. Young Laura was a Tom boy and loved helping her dad with cars and working on the house. Sometimes just by holding the flashlight for her beloved dad as he rebuilt transmissions. She would tip toe dance when asked anything to make people smile. She would pick flowers for her beloved mommy. As she got older she would sing specials with her mom and stood in the church choir next to her mom.
Some other things she enjoyed when young was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Michelangelo being her favorite. She was a fan of Scooby doo, Teen Titians and spy kids. She was an avid collector of ninja turtles, mugs, pops , Harry Potter with Hufflepuff being her favorite house. She loved the color teal, anime and manga, and especially classic books.
She loved her Bible her daddy got her as she took notes in church all the time. She was a Sunday school teacher assistant, part of the choir and director of the booster band.
She was a member at times of Hubert FWB (Freedom Way) church in Hubert, New Hope FWB , Cardinal Village FWB , Emmanuel FWB, Friend ship FWB her home church became Gospel Light Baptist church in Comfort, NC. Some of her favorite hymns were "Victory in Jesus" and "I'll fly away".
She graduated from Whites Christian School in 2012. She was a treasured friend by many Quan, Anna Justin, Landon and many others and had different adventures with each.
She grew up with and is survived by her sisters who were like best friends Ashley Herrerra (Ever) of Beaufort, SC; Tara Robinette (Tyler) of Richlands, NC; Grace Angelia White; and Mellie White (Bailey) all of Jacksonville, NC and her sweet beloved brother whom she prayed for after having 4 special sisters Curtis White Jr. (Dorian) of Raleigh, NC. They enjoyed going to Busch Gardens together, Anime, playing games and so many other hobbies. As she got older she grew a special and unique bond with each of her siblings especially Tara whose bond became closer than best friends.
She would always head up game nights and get family together to play board games like apples to apples, uno, pictionary and she would have people put their phones in a basket. She was always in charge of setting up the Christmas decorations which was something she loved. As an adult she started the tradition to hang a stocking for all the family members that had passed to ensure they would not be forgotten and her children would know who they were.
She made and left her mark on everyone she met. She knew how to make you smile and laugh and never ran out of things to say. She would encourage you by writing little notes. She always found ways to make you feel special, wanted and unique.
She was a hard worker like her father and nurturing like her mom. Her first job was Tokyo Express but loved being nanny to multiples families who adored her. Ernie and Misty Lee with Ashton. Erin and Ben Piper with Ashston and Samantha. Trey and Whitney Mitchell with Wyatt and Sawyer. She adored all the littles she watched.
She also taught at Mercy's Garden Montessori Preschool in Richlands, North Carolina. In Ohio she worked at Berry Global and Freudenberg-NOK.
She was loved deeply by her paternal grandmother Mommom Frances White of Golts, MD and maternal grandmother Mommom Isabelle Swanson and Poppop Bob Swanson of Kennedy Square, Pa.
She will be greatly missed by her paternal Aunt Angie Strouse (Ed) of Little Creek, De; Valeri Refner of Philadelphia, PA and Uncle Rick White (Vera) of Bridegville, De. Her Maternal and name sake Aunt Laura Ivanson (Vars) Heather Thompson and Uncle Russell Hall.
She was loved and adored by all her cousins Karlis, Aris (Kaylee), Lilija, Nils, Talis, Daina, Maija, Eriks; Preston (Jamie); Sierra (Isaac); Saige, Khai, Meliah and Arwyn; Teresa Ashey (Matt); Andy, Brittany (Robert); Christina (Stanley) Jeannie (Justin).
Her life was so much shorter than what we would want but two main goals she had in life she fulfilled. She wanted her own family; to be a wife and a mommy.
She met and married the love of her life Alek IIg on November 23, 2018 and moved to Norwalk, OH where she grew as a wife and mom to William Joseph IIg VI and was expecting their second son at the time of her death. She was an amazing wife and mommy and was blessed with Alek, Liam and Talisen. She made a lot of memories to last a lifetime.
Besides those listed above she left behind her father-in-law, William "Chip" (Meghan) IIg of Grafton, OH and Helen (Mike) Hoyt of Norwalk, and bonus siblings, Terra (Nick) Loyer and Rhydian ( Finn) IIg both of Norwalk, OH and her bonus Mamaw Helen Stoll who she was close to as well as other family and friends who took her in as their own in Ohio.
She was very creative; and enjoyed crafts such as painting Liams Harry Potter themed bedroom and was working on a Star wars nursery for Talisen. She learned at an early age to find deals at a thriftway/goodwill and spent many Saturdays sailing for yard sales with her mom. She continued this as an adult and her bonus sibling Rhydian said she could always find the best deals that she would use in her many projects. She loved fireflies, the beach, family dinners, making memories and was always known to take plenty of pictures/videos to look back on.
She grew special friendships/bonds with her new family and made many special memories that will last a lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her baby boy Talisen IIg, her paternal grandfather William White Jr, maternal grandfather Russell Hall and grandfather -in-law, Mark Stoll.
There will be a celebration of life for Laura Elizabeth IIg on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Gospel Light Church; address is 153 State 1137, Trenton, NC 28585
