January 29, 1961 - March 03, 2025

Lawrence Wilson Miner, known as "Law," passed away unexpectedly on March 3, 2025, at the age of 64 at ECU Medical Center in Greenville, NC. He was born on January 29, 1961, in Washington, DC and was the son of the late Larry J. Miner and Patricia Wilson Miner. His life was taken too soon. His family and friends are extremely heartbroken and mourning the loss of such an amazing person who was such a blessing for everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11am at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, NC. The family will celebrate his life following the service at Carolina Ale House, which was his favorite place to get a burger and beer.

Law lived a very simple life and enjoyed every minute of it. His passion in life was cycling. Whether it was working on bikes, riding, or volunteering at the Bike Shop, he was always surrounded by bicycles. He drew people in with his love of life and love for everyone. He could start conversations and make lasting friendships everywhere he went. He was extremely intelligent as a former teacher and wise beyond his years.

He is survived by his son, Charles Benjamin Miner, of Wilmington, his niece Sharri Anne Talley, of Mocksville, and his niece Patricia Lorraine Fitzgerald, of Jacksonville.
