Lee Burl Sharpe, Jr.

May 12, 1933 – April 19, 2025

Visitation will be Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home in Holly Ridge from 6:00 pm to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 25, 2025at Salem Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest at Yopp Cemetery following the service.

He was the loving husband of Priscilla Iris Eudy Sharpe.

He was the proud and loving father of David Sharpe Sr (Amanda), Timothy Sharpe (Lisa), Penny White, and Gregory White.

Grandfather of David Jr., Richard (Raine), Sadie Ashton, and Jacob.

Sibling of Jackie Sharpe Johnson. Special cousin to Becky Dickerson Gaskins (Alan and granddaughter Samantha)

He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Kathleen Sharpe. Sisters, Linda Sharpe Faircloth, Louise Sharpe Turnage, Sybil Sharpe Gandy, and Joyce Sharpe Bailey "Teeny".

He was loved by family members in the Sharpe, Pridgen, Guzzo, Houston, Johnson, Serpico, Gandy, and Medlin family.

He was loved by his Salem Baptist Church family, his whole Sneads Ferry community and others from Mississippi. He was known for his dancing, playing the spoons, and joy of life. He was the best of Grandpas and never met a stranger. He left a whole new generation of spoon players.
