JACKSONVILLE  -  Linda Lou Littleton, a beloved member of the Jacksonville community, passed away January 30th, 2025 at the age of 83. Linda was born on the 8th of February, 1941 to Clayton and Myrtle Humphrey. In 1958, Linda met Ronnie Littleton on the Jacksonville High bus route and they were married in 1959 and went on to have two beautiful children.

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Linda spent her life bringing beauty and joy to those around her. As the founder of April Showers Florist, she poured her heart into her work, creating arrangements that brightened countless weddings and decorated celebrations of life.

Linda was known for her strong spirit, big heart, and for the ability to make everyone feel special. She found so much pride and joy in her work. Whether she was designing the perfect bouquet, sharing a warm smile, or spending time shopping, she made an impact on all who knew her. The Jacksonville community will not be the same without her, but her legacy will live on forever within her family and the positive impact she made on this world.

She is survived by her daughter, April Morton (Paul), and her son, Farley Littleton (Rhonda); her grandchildren, Hayley White (Jeremy), Abby Littleton, Trent Morton (Jennifer), Bekah Wade (Dylan), and Josie Dalton (Elijah). Linda is preceded in death by her late husband Ronnie Littleton, her parents Myrtle and Clayton Humphrey, and by her brother Durwood Humphrey.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who loved her.

A service to celebrate Linda's life will be held on Tuesday, February 4th, at Kellum Baptist Church, located off Kellum Loop Road in Jacksonville, NC. There will be a public visitation at 12:30 PM and a service at 2:00 PM. Flowers of celebration are welcome.
