In Loving Memory of Linda Marie Ditlow Manzanares

Linda Marie Ditlow Manzanares, 67, passed away on October 28, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her dearly and countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Linda was born and raised in Washington, D.C., and spent much of her childhood in the Mount Rainier and Brentwood areas. She carried those early memories with her throughout her life and built a lifetime of memories with the people she loved.

Linda was a woman with a heart full of love and a spirit that could never be mistaken. She was outspoken, never one to hold her tongue, and certainly had no filter. You always knew where you stood with Linda because she told it like it was. She enjoyed talking to people, sharing stories, giving advice, and making connections wherever she went. She was a supportive mother who was always willing to offer guidance, encouragement, and some of the best advice you could ask for. Whether you needed someone to listen, someone to talk to, or someone to tell you the honest truth, Linda was that person.

One of Linda's greatest qualities was her generosity. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back without thinking twice. Her heart was bigger than words could express, and she never hesitated to show love or help someone in need.

To her grandchildren, she was affectionately known as Mimi, a name that represented a special bond and a lifetime of love. She leaves behind her three children, Angela, Rafael Jr., and Kayla; her son-in-law, Leonard; her ten grandchildren, Marissa, Ivan, Maranda, C.J., Messiah, Alaya, Zariah, Elijah, Josiah, and Mariah; and her two great-grandchildren, Alea and Amir. She also leaves behind her beloved brother, Larry Ditlow.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Louise Nelson and Jimmy Nelson, who she now joins in eternal rest.

Linda's passing leaves a space in her family's hearts that can never truly be filled. Her voice, her advice, her honesty, her conversations, and even her unfiltered comments will be missed more than words can express. While her family must now learn to navigate life without her physical presence, the lessons she taught, the love she gave, and the memories she created will continue to live on through every generation.

She was loved beyond measure, and her legacy will live on through the family she cherished.

Rest peacefully, Mimi. Your love will live on in all of us. Forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
