Jacksonville – Linda Joy Tomlinson, 85, of Jacksonville, North Carolina passed away on February 19, 2026, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Catalyst Church. Burial will immediately follow at Onslow Memorial Park.

Linda was born on March 26, 1940, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Clyde Cannon and Bernice Weaver Cannon. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert "Bobby" Cannon.

She found deep joy in serving her church community. As a greeter, she welcomed everyone with a smile that made people feel instantly at home. She also loved her crochet class and her Sunday school class, where she shared laughter, encouragement, and genuine friendship. These moments of connection were among her greatest joys.

She is survived by her children, Tina Erb (Charles) and Shane Tomlinson (Tina); grandchildren, Kyle Compton (Mallory), Carli Kranz (Christian), and Trey Tomlinson; great-grandchildren, Coleman, Elizabeth Hayes, and Brooks; and several extended family and great friends.

The family will receive at Catalyst Church prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
