JACKSONVILLE  -  Lisa Joan Wood, 56, of Jacksonville, NC passed away on May 24th, 2025 in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Local services will be a local private service with immediate family members.

Born on 25 August, 1968, in Wellington New Zealand. She was the daughter of the late Douglas and Joan Hardy. Lisa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Paul Wood; daughter, Ceara Wood-Fernandez; daughter, Marina Martinezreinoso and husband Ruddy, brother, Hayden Hardy of Wellington, New Zealand and a half sister, Carmel Smith and a grandson, Raymond.

Her family, friends, and loved ones will forever remember her as witty and to the point. Her love for her pets is unmatched. She treated her pets like family.

Lisa worked at MCCS Child Development Center, Camp Lejeune, Tarawa Terrace where she positively impacted so many families and young kids. She recently retired from a career spanning 23 years.
