Obituary

Logan P. Enders, of Holly Ridge, NC, passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2026. He was born on June 7, 1992 in Lycoming County, PA to Ronald and Denise Enders.

Logan graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 2011. He was accepted on a football scholarship to Lycoming College before shifting his focus and embarking on his military career with The United States Marine Corps in October 2011. Logan began his military career as a Reconnaissance Marine with the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, Alpha Company, at Camp Lejeune, NC. Logan served with Reconnaissance for 6 years before becoming a Critical Skills Operator (CSO) with The United States Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) at 2nd Marine Raider Battalion, Golf Company, 8224, at Camp Lejeune, NC.

Logan, affectionately known by his callsign ‘Slug’ to his team members and colleagues, served as a scout sniper, breacher, and free fall jump master with qualifications that enabled him to jump both passengers and heavy equipment.

During his career, Logan received two combat action ribbons, and a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for being the first responder and providing aide during a Freefall jump incident on a fellow comrade. Logan was later involved in an All-Terrain Vehicle crash during a large-scale exercise, though he was injured, he maintained composure and began life-saving recovery and triage of his isolated teammates.

Throughout Logan’s 13 years of faithful service to our nation, he supported numerous deployments and combat operations. His service included a 2013 deployment with a Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force–Crisis Response to Africa; a 2016 deployment with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit in support of operations in Yemen and Libya; and a 2019 deployment with 2nd MRB, Golf Company 8224, in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. He also participated in two separate Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) deployments with 8224, operating in areas of operations spanning Northern and Western Africa and the Balkans.

Logan retired as a SSGT in October 2024. Post service, he worked with Metris Global for the U.S. Coast Guard. Logan also worked as an independent contractor, and just recently as of last week completed a rigorous selection and training course to continue service in a government agency.

On February 22, 2020 Logan married the love of his life, Erin Enders, and they have two beautiful daughters, Emerson and Eloise. Logan often said that his ‘lady’ and his girls were his greatest achievements. Logan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends along with building and riding motorcycles. Logan was a beloved father, husband, uncle, brother, son, and friend.

He is survived by his wife and children, his mother Dee, siblings; Megan (Andrew) Neufer, Jeremy (Mandi) Enders and Kayla Enders, his nieces and nephews; Hunter and Wyatt Enders, Rowan and Ella Neufer, his maternal grandparents Donald and Teresa Myers, father-in-law Jeffrey Raab and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and a nationwide community of friends that felt like family.

He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Enders Jr, paternal grandparents Ronald Enders Sr. and Shirley Enders, and mother-in-law Mary Raab.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, NC at 11:00 AM. Visitation with the family will be held prior from 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. A link is provided below for the day of the service if anyone is unable to be present that would like to attend.
