Obituary

JACKSONVILLE  -  Loretta Rose (Marsh) Milewski, 89, of Jacksonville, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family and her beautiful angels, her hospices nurses Carol and Veleta.  There will be a graveside service and a celebration of life in the spring.

Mrs. Milewski was born August 24, 1935 in Waverly, NY.

She dedicated her life to her loving husband of 55 years, her two children and grandchildren. She was a kind, sweet, funny and such a caring, compassionate and supportive person to all.

Loretta's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. She had a smile that would light up a room. She loved to laugh, travel, sew and garden. She was an avid NY Yankees fan. She was a member of the Phoenix Lions Club, Phoenix Red Hatters and the Senior Citizens Club of Phoenix. She retired from Sears Roebuck then went on to volunteer at Camp Hollis, Oswego Health and was a group trainer for the Osteoporosis Exercise group.

She was preceded by her husband Stanley, her son John, her two sisters Carolyn Block and Vera Roseberry and her parents Rex and Voilet Marsh.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa (Mike) Mattice; her daughter-in-law, Ann Milewski; her grandchildren, Jessica Milewski, Michael Mannise, Markie Rose (Tommy) Mannise, Alex and Tim Milewski and Averi Young; many nieces and nephews (whom she cherished) along with a wonderful close circle of friends.

Please consider making memorials to the Liberty Home Care and Hospice 445 Western Blvd E., Jacksonville, NC 28546 or the Alzheimer's Association .
