JACKSONVILLE - Louise Powers Davis, 89, of the Verona Community in Jacksonville, died Monday, May 18, 2026 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel with Mr. Elmer J. Padgett officiating. Burial will follow at the Ida Padgett Cemetery in Maple Hill.
Mrs. Davis, along with her late husband, James, were the owners and operators of the Davis Variety Store and Pineview Mobile Home Park.
She is survived by her two sons, Keny Davis and his wife, Julie and Kevin Davis; three grandchildren, Abbey Davis and her husband, Jason, Madison Davis and Tiara Davis; three great-grandchildren, Johnathan Davis, Lukas Norris and James Davis-Hoffman; two brothers, Douglas Powers and Robert “Buddy” Powers; and one sister, Carolyn Spears.
