JACKSONVILLE - Margaret Howard Bryan, 99, of Jacksonville, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Private graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday September 25, 2026. Family and friends are warmly invited to come together to celebrate Margaret’s beautiful life, her faith and the love she shared with so many at 1:30 PM on Friday, September 25, 2026 at Union Chapel Church. Mrs. Bryan was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Margaret was a faithful Christian woman. She loved the Lord and cherished her Bible. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she faithfully attended Union Chapel Church. She especially enjoyed her Tuesday prayer group, where she shared in prayer and fellowship with others.

Margaret loved her family, they all brought great joy to her life. She enjoyed cooking for her family. She treasured the time she spent with her loved ones and leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, and devotion.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family, friends, church family, and all who had the blessing of knowing her. Her life was a testament to her love for God and for the people she held dear.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; son, Marcus; mother, Nannie Elizabeth Marshburn; father, Ellie Thomas Howard; three sisters and three brothers. 

She is survived by her children, Council (Tempie), Donnie (Shannonn), Art (Tammy); six grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was loved deeply, and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
