Margie W. Coker, 90, left this world on Tuesday, June 9th, at her home in Sneads Ferry, to be with her Heavenly Father.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Coker, the love of her life; her son, Keith Horrell; her daughter, Kim Horrell; her parents, Carl and Dollie Waters; her three loving sisters, Martha Cumbo, Dora Wetherington, and Alene Wetherington; along with nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

A private service will be held for close family members.

Margie dedicated her life to real estate. She entered the real estate market as one of the first women Realtors in Jacksonville and soon became one of the top agents in her field.

While dedicated to her work, she met and made many lifelong friends. Her sharp mind and commitment to being the best made her a sought-after agent.

Margie had two children whom she lost before their time, and she missed them greatly every day. Now, she is reunited with them and other loved ones.

Among her interests and talents were decorating, flower gardening, entertaining, and, in her younger years, serving as a pianist and choir director at Maysville First Baptist Church. She loved working hard and enjoying life.

She will be missed by many. She truly was a fighter, never giving up, not even until the end.
