Newport- Marguerite Jean Kujawski Klinger, 98, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 3, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born September 23, 1928, in Elmira, NY, a daughter of the late Francis and Sara Mills Kujawski.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 3:00pm in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home-Swansboro with Pastor Aaron Darling officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Elmira, NY. Arrangements in NY will be provided by Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home.

Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to many she loved to spend time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children: Mark Klinger of Jekyll Island, GA, Sara Springfield (Ron) of Newport, NC, Rosemary Sartor (Brian) of Columbus, OH, Matthew Klinger of Syracuse, NY, Elizabeth Leonard (James) of Rock Hill, SC, and Paula Blaszyk (Rob) of Waxhaw, NC; eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry D. Klinger and a brother, John Kay.
