Swansboro - Marie E. Wooster, 84, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House. She was born in Somerville, NJ on March 21,1942, a daughter of the late Samuel and Wilhemina Doochack.

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home-Swansboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Marie was a loving wife and mother who had a gift for making everyone around her feel welcomed, cared for, and loved. She was a strong woman and a wonderful influence on her girls.

After graduating with an Associates Degree from Goldey-Beacom College, she had a successful career as an Administrative Assistant for several companies in Delaware and North Carolina.

Marie loved traveling with her husband, longtime friends, and family, and she especially enjoyed creating photo albums to preserve the memories of their adventures together. She was always creating thoughtful gifts that reflected how much she cared.

She found joy in gardening and took pride in turning their house into a beautiful and welcoming home. Marie also enjoyed cooking and making everyone feel at home, including their cat Jake, with simple gestures that showed her love for them.

Marie touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was deeply loved, and she will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Traverse Wooster; daughters, Lisa Gilbert (Nate) of Portsmouth, VA and Erica Wooster of Chattanooga, TN; and her siblings: Sharon Mundy, Pattie Miller, Samuel Doochack, and Linda Pieroski.
