Mark Blake II

December 10, 1983 – October 6, 2026

Richlands, North Carolina – Mark Blake II, 42, of Richlands, North Carolina, left this earth far too soon on October 6, 2026.

Mark was born on December 10, 1983, in Redding, California. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Richard Kelly; aunt, Phyllissia Bigger; and brother-in-law, Virgil Martin.

Above all, Mark was a loving husband and devoted father. His wife, Jamie, was the greatest love of his life, and together they shared a love, a family, and countless memories that will forever be cherished. Through life’s ups and downs, their bond remained, and the love they shared was something that could never be erased. Mark’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being a father. His children were his world, and he loved them more than words could ever express. He took immense pride in each of them, and nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time together and watching them grow.

Mark had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle, and playing cards with family and friends. Born in Northern California, he always held a special place in his heart for the beauty of the outdoors and was incredibly proud of his Native American heritage and Yurok roots.

Anyone who knew Mark knew he was truly one of a kind. He was funny, unapologetically unfiltered, and stubborn as hell. You never had to wonder what Mark was thinking because he was going to tell you, whether you wanted to hear it or not. He had a way of making people laugh, sometimes without even trying, and his larger-than-life personality left an impression on everyone he met. Beneath that tough, stubborn exterior was a man who loved his family deeply and treasured the people closest to him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jamie Blake; children, Kyara Blake, Mark Blake Jr., Shasta Blake, Jason, Trinity, and Sierra; mother, Gimmie Bigger; father, Mark Blake Sr.; stepfather, Cory Ashby; siblings, Charles Blake (Alison), Sherry Blake, Shantel Blake, and Cory Ashby (Loni); along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws,nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Mark lived life on his own terms, and although his time here was far too short, the love he gave, the laughter he brought, and the memories he created will live on through his family and everyone fortunate enough to have known him. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories, a family who loved him beyond measure, and a place in their hearts that can never be filled. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
