JACKSONVILLE  -  Marla Kaye Delaney, 68, of Jacksonville, North Carolina passed away peacefully at her residence on March 29, 2025. Per Marla's wishes, there will be no services.

Marla was born on April 17, 1956 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Cyrus Shumate and Delores Marsh.

Marla was an avid crafter and ceramicist. She loved to crochet, bake with the family, loved the outdoors, traveling & RVing, fishing, spending time with her husband, and family. She also loved spending time with her dogs, Zoey & Zeus. Marla was always free spirited, had no filter and had a unique personality that everyone loved.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Delaney III, her daughters, Shelly Kennedy, Cathy Stoller (Dave); son, Frank Delaney IV; step-children, Gwendolyn Delaney, John Delaney (Lory), Shawn Delaney (Ashley), Steven Delaney (Ashley) and Amanda Marin (Gabe); grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Kaylee, Matt, Zach, Sebastion, Devin, Alexis, Destiny, Damon, Steven, Katrina, John Jr., Jeremiah, Joe, Elaina, Shawn Jr., Dylan, Selena, Mathew, and Cayden; great-grandchildren, Karson, Hayden, Cameron, Xena, Taleigha, Theodore, Aria, Braxton, Aspen, Memphis, and Bailee.
