Marsha Jean Tyndall Shepard, 65 of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday evening at Carolina East Medical Center.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM at Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville on Wednesday evening.
Funeral services will be held at Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville on Thursday, 02/01/18 at 1 PM with Rev Steve Smith and Pastor Woody Whitt officiating. A graveside service and burial will take place following the funeral at the Dogwood Memorial Cemetery in Maysville.
Marsha was a graduate of White Oak High School and Coastal Carolina Community College. She retired after 30 years from the Onslow County School System's Accounting Department and also worked during tax season for Boykin's Tax Service. She was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church and volunteered at the Annual Festival of Trees. She was also a member of the Breast Cancer Survivor's Group of Camp Lejeune who made quilts for charity events benefitting breast cancer awareness.
She is survived by her son Morgan Shepard of Jacksonville, sister Susan Tyndall Williams and husband Earl of Vass, NC, brothers Keith Tyndall and wife Jennifer of Raleigh, Timothy Tyndall and wife Hilda of Maysville, and Chris Tyndall and wife Sandra of Maysville, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lynwood and Emma Dameron Tyndall.
