JACKSONVILLE  -   Marshall Edward Batchelor, 90, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport.  Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Onslow Memorial Park, with Rev. Randy Jones officiating.

Mr. Batchelor was born July 29, 1934, in the Pin Hook community of Pender County, to the late Stacy and Ruby Pierce Batchelor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Baysden Batchelor; son in law, Henry Harris; sisters, Nellie Howard (Gerald) and Colleen Horne (Lenwood); brothers, James Batchelor, and Arnold Batchelor.

Survivors include his daughter, Belinda Harris of Jacksonville; grandson, H. B. Harris of Jacksonville; sister-in-law, Linda Batchelor and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon, prior to the service, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.
