Martha Ann Branscom Barbour, 83, Marvin Lindsey Barbour's wife and best friend of sixty-five years of marriage, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 1:10 pm, in their home, in Lin's loving arms.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Vernie Tinsley Branscom, and brother, George Branscom, Jr.

She is survived by her brother, Michael Branscom (Pat); son, Michael Lin; daughters Mary Martha, Maria Michelle (Tim), Marcia Melissa, Melanie Mae (Dane), and Myra Marguerite; grandchildren Nathaniel, Spencer, Lindsayann, Nicholas, Michael, Andrew, Liam, Bethany, Austin, Emily, Abigail, Kathryn, Megan, Dane, and Hailey; and great-granddaughter Gianna.

Martha was born in Tazewell, West Virginia on February 21, 1941.  Known for her "no-nonsense" personality, love of her boxer dogs, dedication to her job, and undeniable love for her husband, Lin, she will be dearly missed by many.

The memorial service will be held at Coffey Grounds Ranch, 9019 Ball Road – Durham, NC 27503, on January 5, 2025, at 1:00 pm.  If you knew Martha, you know she loved plants and flowers.  Please wait until her memorial to send any and please have them delivered to the memorial address.

She wanted everyone to wear BRIGHT COLORS no black, lots of flowers, be happy, and have a party at her service.
