HOLLY RIDGE -  It is with a, heavy heart, that I announce the passing of my Mom, Martha "Ellen" Hollingsworth Duff, 84, of Holly Ridge, NC.  Mom passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2024 at 1:26 PM at Woodbury Wellness, in Hampstead, NC.  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Salem Baptist Church in Sneads Ferry. Burial will follow at Charlie T. Duff Cemetery in Holly Ridge.

Ellen was born in Wallace NC, on August 13, 1939 to the late Albert and Madge Hollingsworth.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Frances Hollingsworth and Doris Fussell; and brothers, Edward and Donald Hollingsworth.

Surviving to cherish her memories are her daughter, Kristen 'Krissy 'Duff Frye and (Jason Frye); precious grandchildren, Brady and Bella Frye; and nieces, Sandra Norris of Teachey, NC and Cheryl Threatt of Wallace, NC.

Ellen loved her family, daughter and precious grandchildren!!  She worked for a short time in the Cafeteria at, Dixon School.   Then went on to work on base at, Camp Lejeune, NC.  There she worked and retired at the TMO Offices, under the US Civil Services as a GS6!!   Ellen loved flowers, angels, collecting porcelain dolls and her dog, Baby! She enjoyed going to get her hair done by her, long time Hair Stylist, Glenda Gibson. Ellen also loved shopping on QVC, lots and lots of, QVC!! She also enjoyed Oreos and frozen milk, boiled peanuts.  Ellen also loved watching Drag Racing and even raced a few times, when she was younger. Her favorite pass time was playing, BINGO, until her health declined.   But her most Beloved and important treasures were her family, her daughter, Krissy; son-in-law, Jason and precious grandchildren,  Brady and Bella Frye.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, June 20, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Holly Ridge Chapel.
