HUBERT  -  Martin Sylvester Collins, Jr., 62, of Hubert, passed away Thursday, October 24,2024 at Onslow Memorial Hospital.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 4, 2024 at St. Mildred Catholic Church in Swansboro with Rev. Dave Miller officiating.  Burial will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.

He was born January 27,1962 in Twentynine Palms, CA a son of the late Martin Sylvester Collins, Sr. and Thelma Grace Strain Collins.

Marty served his country in the US Navy and then began a career as a boiler operator. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gloria H. Collins of the home; his children, Martin Collins of FL, Ashley Collins of the home, and Travis Leonard of Hubert; seven grandchildren; and sisters, Deborah Collins of Hubert, Helen Kennard of Greenville, NC, and Pamela Cannon of OH.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Collins.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, October 31,2024 from 6 until 8 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Swansboro Chapel.
