RICHLANDS - Mary Katherine Huneycutt, 84, of Richlands, died Monday, June 15, 2026 at her home, while surrounded by her family. She was a devoted Christian who loved her Lord. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Christian Community Church with Pastor Anthony Davis and Pastor Ronnie Huneycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.

Mrs. Huneycutt was a daughter of the late Ed and Penie Padgett Rochelle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claudius Andrew “Buddy” Huneycutt, III; a grandson, Steven Huneycutt; daughter-in-law, Penny Gray Huneycutt; son-in-law, Mac Swinson; one brother, Michael Rochelle; and one great-grandchild, Peanut.

Survivors include her children, Kathy Swinson, Stevie Andrew Huneycutt, Ronnie Dean Huneycutt and his wife, Tammy, and Mark Edward Huneycutt; siblings, Troy Rochelle, Sue Yates, Nathan Rochelle and Sadie Marshburn; grandchildren, Jason Swinson, Kristen Foose, Jessica Huneycutt, Maryanne Huneycutt, Katelynn Huneycutt, Faith Huneycutt, Claudius “Clay” Huneycutt and Kaylee Haas; and three great-grandchildren, Jaden Swinson, Nevaeh Foose and Lilly Foose.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 PM at the church.
