Holly Ridge - Mary Elizabeth Edens Ottaway, 90, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully Monday, May 18, 2026 at her home.

A graveside funeral service will be 11:00 am on Saturday, May 23rd at the Ottaway Family Cemetery at 834 Highway 17 South in Holly Ridge. The service will be officiated by Pastor Kenneth Huffman.

Daughter of the late Andrew and Blanchie Edens. With a long life comes heartache and Mary’s life was no exception. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gordon Darrel Ottaway; a beloved son, Glen Ottaway; grandchildren, Ginger Ottaway, Nicholas Ottaway, and Garrett Ottaway; sisters, Thelma Davis and Wanda Ennett.

She leaves behind sons, Danny Ottaway (Joan) and Felix Ottaway (Connie); 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Linda Alderson; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Ottaway; and her church family at Grace OFW Baptist Church.
