Cedar Point- Melissa Sanders Hoverkamp Prescott, 72, passed away Saturday, May 24,2025 at ECU Health Center. She was born October 24,1952 in Bay Shore, NY.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Melissa was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by Raymond Prescott, her husband of 52 years; daughters, Jessica Prescott and Courtney Prescott both of Swansboro; grandchildren, Tyler, Ella, Carter, and Grace; mother, Sandra Shanks Hoverkamp of Cedar Point; and sister, Heidi O'Malley of FL.

She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Kent Hoverkamp, Sr. and brother, Douglas Kent Hoverkamp, II.
