Michael (Mike) Lee Love, 70, of Swansboro, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025.

Born September 25, 1954, in Chicago, IL, Mike was the eldest child of Ernold and Sally Love. A gifted athlete, he played multiple sports throughout his youth, excelling most on the baseball diamond. He still holds records from his time at Ferris State University, where he graduated with a degree in pharmacy.

Mike went on to a successful career as a pharmacist and pharmaceutical salesman, though he preferred to be known for his booming laugh, magnetic personality, and ability to make everyone feel like an old friend. Fondly known in his local community as "the man and his dog", Mike lived for boating and could talk sports of any kind for hours, often as his way of fostering connection and showing love for others.

He was deeply devoted to his wife; he cherished her immensely and constantly lifted her up with words of affirmation and gratitude. Above all, he was endlessly proud of his sons and the lives they built.

Faith was central to Mike's life. He had a deep love of God and was a devoted member of Swansboro United Methodist Church, rarely missing a Sunday service.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Bets; sons Weston (Bethany) and Cody (Molly); siblings Tom (Cindy) and Laurie (Bobby Joe); and grandchildren Quinn, Charlotte, and Linden. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:30am at Swansboro United Methodist Church.
