MURFREESBORO, TN  -  Michael Lance Potter, 73, of Murfreesboro, TN and formerly of Richlands, died Friday, November 21, 2025 at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro.  Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at East Duplin Memorial Gardens in Beulaville, with Rev. Brent Penny officiating.

Mr. Potter was a son of the late Jesse James Potter and Lillian Dail Potter.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Futrell Potter; one son, Jerry Potter; his son-in-law, Edward Cruse; a brother, Bill Potter; and two sisters, Ann Graham and Olene Brown.

Survivors include his son, Mike Lane Potter and his wife, Michelle of Pikeville; his daughter, Polly Cruse of Franklin, NC; a grandson, Brayden Cruse of Franklin; two granddaughters, Heather Hall of Pikeville and Jennifer Hall of Chalfont, PA; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy Potter and his wife, Sue of Cove City; and one sister-in-law, Mary Jo Potter of Jacksonville.
