Minnie Hurst Grady (Bobbie) of Jacksonville, NC was born on May 28th, 1918 and peacefully joined the lord on Saturday, October 15, 2011. Bobbie will forever be missed and remembered.
She was the daughter of the late Minnie and Basel Hurst. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Grady, and eight siblings. "Bobbie" was a retired employee of the United States Postal Service and a member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville.
She is survived by her three sons, Robert Grady and wife Neta of Jacksonville, NC; Vann Grady and wife Diana, who was like a daughter to her, of Wilmington, NC; Don Grady and wife Jean of Cedar Point, NC.
She is also survived by two granddaughters, Heather Grady Matthews and husband Scott of Kinston, NC; Tiffany Grady Bates and husband Fletcher of Wilmington, NC. Also surviving are 3 great-grandchildren, Spencer, Aliza, and Parker. "Bobbie" will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother who taught generations to be kind, warm and giving. A graveside service will be held at Jacksonville Cemetery on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 11:00 am with Reverend Chris Jarman officiating.
