Swansboro-Nanci Butrum McGarvey, 67, passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 14,2025. She was born September 9,1957 in Beech Grove, IN.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, May 20,2025 at 10:00am at Swansboro United Methodist Church with Reverends, Laura Thompson, Bob Rose, and Jon Strother officiating. Inurnment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park in Swansboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Nanci was a loving wife and mother and loved to spend time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Rev. Gregory McGarvey of the home; son, Jason McGarvey of Tolland, CT; daughter, Ginni Sheppard (Larry) of Spencer, NC;; mother, Norma Carol Block of Garner, NC; and siblings, Jack P. Butrum, Jr. of Williams Park, MD, Cheryl Parrish of Garner, NC, Leanne Pitts of Greenville, NC, and Jeff Butrum of Spring Lake, NC.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack P. Butrum, Sr and her sister, Beverly Pritchard.
