Nancy Adams Doss, 84, of Jacksonville, passed away on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care.

A Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, at Blue Creek Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Burial will follow the service at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Nancy was a faithful member of her church since 1974, where she poured her heart into her faith and her community. Known for her warm smile and kind spirit, she found joy in being surrounded by people and never met a stranger. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends, who were the center of her life and the source of her greatest happiness. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Colie Doss; parents, Claude and Clydie Adams; and her brother, Eugene Adams.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Doss (Sharon) of Jacksonville; daughter, Loretta Schippert (Allen) of Jacksonville; her two grandchildren, Allen Glenn Schippert (Carlie) and Kayla Renee Schippert (Cody); her brothers, David Adams of Maysville and Ronnie Adams of Scotts Hill, NC; and her four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
