HUBERT  -  Nancy Lancaster Hewitt, 77, of Hubert, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025 at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM in Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Queens Creek Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church

Mrs. Hewitt was born July 6, 1948 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Frank and Edna Arthur Lancaster.

She was a librarian at Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville and loved to spend time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Powell Hewitt and a stepdaughter, Cynthia Wills.

Survivors include her children, Kimberly Hewitt (Teen) of Beaufort, NC, Annettia Hewitt (Tom) of Elberfeld, IN, Todd Hewitt (Jennifer) of Hugoton, KS, Carrie Meadows (Sammy) of Hubert, Sammy Hewitt (Mandy) of Hubert, and Brittney Hernandez (Anthony) of Hubert; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Vassey (Chris) of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; niece, Megan Mason of Spartanburg, SC; nephew, Sawyer Vassey of Conway, SC; and her special furbaby, Lottie.
