Jacksonville - Nannie “Nan” Cavanaugh passed away on August 31, 2026, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Onslow Memorial Park.

Nan was born November 20, 1933, in Onslow County to the late Nancy and Carroway Marshburn. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jerry Bowman.

Throughout her life, Nan worked in customer service and was a loving wife and mother.

She leaves behind her children, JoAnn Bowman, Larry Cavanaugh (Tammy), Dennis Cavanaugh, John Cavanaugh (Fidel); five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-great-grandchildren; her special nephew, Otis Marshburn; and many loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
