Naomi Peers Malone, 91, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, entered into the presence of her Savior on June 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on April 20, 1935, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Naomi lived a life defined by faith, kindness, service, and unconditional love. She was known for her gentle spirit, warm smile, contagious laughter, and remarkable ability to make everyone she met feel welcomed, valued, and loved.
Naomi proudly served her country as a Woman Marine before dedicating 37 years to the Onslow County School System, where she retired as a bookkeeper. In retirement, she continued serving her community through the hospital auxiliary as a Pink Lady and with the Happy Hookers crochet group. Her handmade blankets, Christmas stockings, Easter chicks, Halloween pumpkins, and countless other creations became treasured keepsakes for family, friends, and many in the community.
Above all, Naomi loved the lord, and that love was reflected in the way she lived each day. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was caring for others. Her legacy of faith, kindness, generosity, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Naomi was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmy Malone, in 2015.
She is survived by her sons, Stanley Malone and his partner, Catherine Rohlfing, and Jeffrey Malone and his wife, Karen; her grandchildren, Eric McLemore and his wife, Kelsey, Amanda Martis and her husband, Marcelis, and Savannah Doremus and her husband, Brad; her great-grandchildren, Cedric McLemore, Elias McLemore, Evelyn Martis, Loni Martis, Samarya Martis, and Marshall Clark; along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Naomi is now home with the Savior she faithfully loved and served. Her gentle spirit and enduring love will continue to bless all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Visitation will take place June 30th, 2026, from 6 to 8 at Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville. Funeral services will be held at Kellum Baptist Church on July 1st, 2026, at 1230, with burial to follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please make Donations to the American Breast Cancer Society.
