Swansboro- Nettie Elizabeth Hess Green, 86, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at the Crystal Bluffs Rehab facility in Morehead City. She was born August 11, 1939, in Hawks Nest, WV daughter of the late Lawrence and Bertha Tucker Hess.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 1:00pm at Seaside Memorial Park.

Nettie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. She was a civil service employee at the PX, Commissary, warehouse and finally at the Bulk Fuel Farm aboard Camp Lejeune.

She is survived by her daughters, Kay Scott (Thomas) of Lakeland, FL and Diana Pearson (Randy) of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren: Jennifer Scott, Chris Scott, Joey Pearson, Dylan Pearson, and Riley P. Harwell; and great grandchildren: Kaelyn, Peyton, Drew, and Zayden.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Ernest Hess, Lawrence Junior Hess, Helen Hess Johnson, Virginia Hess Head, and Thomas Hess.
