Nicholas Michael
Fizel
October 13, 1980 – April 12, 2020
Jacksonville – Nicholas Michael Fizel, 39, died on April 12, 2020 at his home.
He is survived by his mom, Anne Michele McKinnon of Jacksonville, NC; father, James Fizel and Indira of San Bernadeno, CA; three sisters, Tyra Fizel and Jason of Mission V Viejo, CA, Kristine Roy and Brian of WoodBridge, VA and Marissia Roble of San Jose, Costa Rica; and many nieces and nephews.
As we all go through a time of great sadness and sorrow for the loss of our friend, nephew, brother and child; Nick's family would like you all to join us for a celebration of his life.
Nick has a wealth of wonderful friends and family across this country. All grieving in small groups or by ourselves. In this era of restricted travel and great distances it is impossible to get together physically; yet, as Nick's mother Michele pointed out, not impossible to get together spiritually.
On Sunday April 26, at 1:30pm eastern time (12:30pm central, 11:30am mountain, and 10:30 am western). The family would like you to join us for fifteen-minutes of a collective spiritual meeting to remember our dear Nick.
There will be a picture collage to initiate our shared time. This will take place using the online "Zoom" services. Below is the following information you will need to attend this spiritual gathering:

If you have any pictures you would like to share, please email them to Nick's sister, Kristin, by 7:00 pm Tuesday night. Kristin's email address is Roy5Kristin@aol.com. If you do not have pictures in digital format that is alright. Feel free to send a scanned image of the picture or take a snapshot of the picture using an electronic device.
Nick enjoyed life in so many ways. Below are a few ideas that might trigger a special moment you had with Nick.
Nick loved being outside and playing sports so if you choose to remember him in his sports days, play catch, shoot some hoops or hit a bucket of balls.
Nick had a big heart for animals, especially Buster and Frank, so you may want to take your dog for a walk or play with him/her inside.
Nick loved music. If you feel like dancing put on your dancing shoes and bust a move, a la Nick
Nick loved being organized. Yes, somewhere in life "Neat Nick" emerged. With this time of staying home you may want to organize a closet, drawer or your garage.
Nick loves his family and friends as love is unconditional and everlasting. If you live close to other friends and feel comfortable with a virtual meeting in small groups share a heartwarming or humorous story.
We believe Nick is in a peaceful place and free of life's restrictions. Let us all join together spiritually and share the joy of having known him. .... "all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind" (ESV, 1 Peter 3:8).
The family ask instead of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice in Nick's name.
Thank you all.
