Nolan Divine Midgette, 79 passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Onslow Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 28th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Jones Funeral Home in Swansboro. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 2:00 pm from Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Hubert with Reverend George Speaks officiating. A burial will follow at the church cemetery.

After honorably serving in the United States Coast Guard, Nolan continued to work as a phone installer with Sprint. He was preceded in death by his spouse of 35 years, Karen Midgette, parents; Robert Midgette and Swannie Yeomans Midgette, brothers; Robert and Harold.

Nolan is survived by his daughter; Bonnie Swain (Eric) of Kitty Hawk, NC, his son; Timmy Midgette (Cindy) of Swansboro, his grandchildren; Abigail Anderson (Mickey) of Hubert, Avry Midgette of Swansboro, Cali Day (Caleb) of Benson, Sara Sweeting of Maysville, great grandchildren, Cale, Micah and Charlotte, his 2 sisters; Martha Ward Starling and Becky Hardin (Tommy of Hubert, his longtime partner; Juanita Hewitt of the home, her son; Bryant Coleman and granddaughter; Dylan Coleman of Jacksonville and several nieces and nephews.
