JACKSONVILLE  -  Patricia Ann James was born on March 14, 1951. She was a wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She passed at home surrounded by family, Monday, February 27, 2023 at the age of 71. Her thirst for life and family will be remembered for many years to come. Patsy was a homemaker who loved her husband, children, dogs (Mindy and Maddie), and most certainly Jesus Christ, her redeemer. She blanketed everyone she encountered with her warmth and kindness. A funeral service is scheduled 11:00AM Monday at Jones Funeral Homes Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Tom McLean officiating.  A graveside service will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.

Patricia Ann James is survived by her husband of 57 years, Haywood Earl James; their love will surpass eternity. Surviving brother, Gary Wayne Burgess. Surviving children Sherry James (Joe Burgess), Frank James (Melanie James), Rodney James ( Erin James), and Sophia Hubbell (Jon Stratton). Grandchildren; Alison Whited (Jeramy Whited),  Paige Green (Chandler Green), Alex James, Patricia James, Logan James, Annabelle Hancock, Percy James, and Valkyrie James. Great Grandchildren Avery Stratton, Magdalin Whited, and Caleb Whited.

Patricia Ann James is preceded in death by her mother (Mary Magdalene Burgess), father (Walter Elbert Burgess), brothers (Carl Burgess and Larry Burgess), as well as her son Phillip Wayne James.

Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00PM Sunday at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
