JACKSONVILLE- Patty Joyner Mercer, 66, of Jacksonville, died Sunday, August 24, 2025, at The Kempton of Jacksonville. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel with Rev. Colt Allen officiating.

Mrs. Mercer was a daughter of the late Joseph Edgar Joyner and Lou Baker Joyner; and widow of Theodore, "Ned" Mercer, Jr.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jordan Murray and her husband, Kevin and Carly Jacobs and her husband, Joe; two sisters, Kay Ferrell and her husband, Glenn and Penny Hamby and her husband, Dale; and four grandchildren, Maddox Murray, Reagan Jacobs, Presley Murray, and Gunner Jacobs.

The family will receive friends Thursday morning, prior to the service, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
