JACKSONVILLE - Phillip Lynn Davis, born February 11, 1941, in Middlesex, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, in Jacksonville. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 21, at Onslow Memorial Park.
Mr. Davis was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose sensitive, loving, and spiritual nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Known for his resilience and sense of humor, he brought joy and comfort to everyone around him. A proud graduate of Jacksonville High School and Coastal Carolina Community College, Phillip built a distinguished career in aviation part management at Cherry Point Air Station. His service to the nation extended to his time in the Army Reserves, exemplifying his dedication and sense of duty. Phillip's passions included singing, painting, reading, basketball, and gardening. Whether through his soulful melodies, colorful artwork, or thriving gardens, Phillip expressed his vibrant spirit and creativity. He was also a beloved member of the Church of Onslow, where his faith and compassion inspired others.
He is survived by his son, Nick Davis; daughter-in-law, Memory White; and cherished grandchildren, Tesla Davis and Nobel Davis. He is reunited in eternal rest with his parents, Dwayne and Idell Davis; sisters, Ruby and Carolyn Davis; and his loyal dog, Buddy Davis.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, December 20, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel. Phillip's family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring his life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in Phillip's memory.
Phillip's light will continue to shine through the lives he touched and the memories he created.
