In Loving Memory of Rachel Davis Hudson

June 7, 1938 - August 6, 2025

Rached Davis Hudson, born Rachel Davis Williams, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born on June 7, 1938, to Verna May and Daniel Williams, Rachel was one of seven children and grew up in a home filled with warmth, hard work, and strong family values.

Rachel spent much of her professional life in the banking industry, where her integrity, sharp mind, and kind spirit left a lasting impact on colleagues and clients alike. After retiring, she found joy in life's simpler pleasures-gardening, sewing, and spending quiet afternoons fishing with her beloved husband, Don.

Rachel was a devoted wife, a caring mother, and a loving grandmother. She never met a stranger and had the biggest heart, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. Anyone who knew Rachel loved her-for her great generosity, her laughter, and the unwavering love she showed to everyone around her.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Don Hudson; daughter, Shelly Owens, Donna and John Taylor, and her granddaughter, Kelly Martindale.

A graveside service honoring Rachel's life will be held at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, August 11 at 2:00 PM.

In leu of flowers the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Rachel's memory-a cause she held dear.

Rachel's presence will be deeply missed, but her love and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.
