Obituary

JACKSONVILLE  -  As July 14, 2022 began to dawn, the angels were descending to rescue you and slip you away to the arms of Jesus.

Just 3 days after meeting your great granddaughter Scarlett Jean Dail, 19 days after our 46th anniversary and 120 days before or 50th anniversary our beginning.  Over half of our lives together and now you are gone.

Randy Lee Bryan, Sr., known to many as "T-Bear" was born October 28, 1952 in Hannibal, Missouri to Doris Jean Simpson and Paul w. Bryan.  Randy entered the USMC in April 1971 and served his country proudly for 20 years retiring April 30, 1991.

Randy missed the Corps but continued to serve as he worked for 19 years with the City of Jacksonville and entered back into government contracts with Boeing which continued to other contracts over 16 years.

Randy loved softball and bowling and spent many years playing with George Simpson and the LePub team.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Betty Sue Howell Bryan; daughter, Scrlett Ashby Dail and Roger, our beloved son-in-love; sons, Randy Lee "Josh" and Aleisha and youngest, Jacob Paul "Jake" and Shannon Rogers; grandsons, Roger Cody Dail, Zachary Trey and wife, Faith Cavanaugh Dail; and great-granddaughter, Scarlett Jean.

He is also survived by our most beloved aunt, Geraldine Simpson; sister, Charlotte Parker; brother, Jerry Parker; nieces, Julie Taylor and Alana Maffasanta; nephew, Elwood "Bud" and Molly Taylor. Special daughter, Crystal and Eric and grandsons, Thomas Burns and Nathan Nicholson and his Springdale Acres family, Bobby and Claudette Pittman, Peggy Saey and Joe and Ann Haskell, plus all their children who became his grandbabies, he was affectionally known to all as Grandpa Randy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.  Burial, with military honors, will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday morning, prior to the service, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
