Cedar Point- Randy Jay Peeden, 67, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 24,2025 surrounded by his family. He was born September 21,1957 in Nash County, NC a son of the late Willard Cooper Peeden and Geraldine Godwin Ruffin.

A funeral service will be held Friday, March 28,2025 at 4:00pm in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home-Swansboro with Rev. Patrick Whaley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Randy was a concrete truck driver with ST Wooten for many years and was previously a volunteer firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate in Edgecombe County. He was a small-town country boy who was a loving husband and caring father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and friends in Tarboro and Cedar Point.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Peeden of the home; children, Michelle Peeden Curlings of Battleboro, Jacob Peeden of Beulaville, Melinda Peeden of Beulaville, Sheyenne Housand (Laura) of Cedar Point, Jamie Brown (Michael) of Tarboro, Boogie Housand of Tarboro, and Chris Housand (Ducky) of Morehead City; and 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Daniel Ruffin and his stepmother, Jean Peeden.
