Well, our Marine made it to July 4th. After a short, devastating illness, Mike passed away at home surrounded by the love of his family.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 10th, 2026, at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. A graveside service will immediately follow the memorial service at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, with military honors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Jack Mauthé; and his sister, Tina.

Mike is survived by his wife of 55 years, Annie Mauthé; daughters, Cynthia Mauthé, Catherine Mauthé, and Janet Frazier; son in-law, Matthew Frazier; grandsons, Jordan Seymour and Joseph Frazier; granddaughter, Lily Frazier; goddaughter, Sandra Collins and husband, Greg Collins; sister, Melody Douglas; nieces, Julie, Becky, Sami, Tiffany, and Liz; and nephew, Nick; sisters in-law, Kay and Margaret (Drew); and brothers in-law, John (Sylvia) and Michael.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to “The Gary Sinise Foundation” or “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital”.
