Hubert- Ricky Lee Spangler, 70, passed away, Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Novant Health in Wilmington, NC with his family by his side. He was born September 10,1955 in Columbus, OH the son of the late Paul and Erma Ward Spangler.

 A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 5-8PM at Roadhouse 56, 1051 St Rt 56 East, Circleville, Ohio 43113. 

Ricky was retired. He spent his evenings giving Simon treats and popping popcorn for Jorjee. He was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed going to the gun range but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.

 He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Penny Fullen Spangler of the home; children, Buck Spangler (Beth) of OH, Tammy Haddox (Matt) of OH, Molly Shoemaker (Curt) of OH, and Deidra Marques (John) of NC; grandchildren, Mallory (Logan), Natalie, Ryan, Kendall, Lauren, Ethan, Matthew, Emily Jo, Emily, and Ella; two great grandchildren Shelby and Wrenley; and siblings, Randy Spangler (Sherry), Terry Spangler (Brenda) and Sis (Kenny) all of OH.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
