Robert Wayne
Graham
October 29, 1962 – February 9, 2025
On February 9th, 2025, at the young age of 62, Robert Wayne Graham, more affectionately known as "Bob," "Poot," or "Bobbert" passed away after a short, courageous, and hard-fought battle against Metastatic Bladder Cancer. While his life earthside was too brief, he made a lasting impact on each person he encountered, leaving them with memories of his jovial laugh and contagious smile.
Those left to keep his memory alive include his wife Angie Graham and his father George Graham, of the home; his son Zack Graham and daughter Taylor Nahoum of Holly Ridge NC; his "grandpups" Callie Girl and Nanner Bubs; his brother Bill (Jackie) Graham of Hindman, KY; his brother-in-law Mick (Nancy) Phillips of Pecks Mill, WV; special friends Eddie (Bernadean) Perry of Williamson, WV. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and numerous friends who he regarded as family. He was preceded in death by his mother Gloria Graham.
Bob worked as an electrician in the coal mines of West Virginia for well over 35 years. Bob had a wide variety of interests and talents after retirement, but would tell you, if you asked, he loved family time most of all. One of Bob's hidden talents was woodworking alongside his dad, creating some of the most uniquely beautiful wooden masterpieces. He also enjoyed taking scenic rides on his side-by-side through the hills of WV, getting lost in the experience for hours on end, alongside his best friend Angie. After moving to the Coastal area of NC he frequently enjoyed a competitive family game night, often partnering with Taylor to ensure a victory against Zack and Angie. He was also thrilled to take a ride down to Topsail Island for an afternoon hot dog with a magnificent view of the ocean. He never knew a stranger, frequently engaging in spirited discussions with neighbors, much to Angie's dismay. He was truly one of a kind.
Bob will be sorely missed by those who knew him.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The American Bladder Cancer Society or Hospice Foundation of America. To honor Bob's wishes, services will be held in private at a later date in one of his favorite places, Chief Logan State Park.
